BITS Admission Process

• Admission Seekers who want to be admitted to BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), need to clear the BITSAT Entrance Exam
• Admission Seekers must full fill all the required eligibility criteria made under the admission Guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

• For admission to all the programmes except B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
• For admission to B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
• Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below: The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
• Only Students appearing for the 12th examination in or who have passed the 12th Examination in 2018 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed the 12th examination in 2017 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT. Students presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT.

BITSAT 2022 Preparation Tips

Candidates must solve the previous year question papers to build up speed and accuracy according to the time allotted to complete the examination.

• Study General concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Clear your basic concepts. Refer to CBSE books. Solve Numerical and deviations problems for physics and Mathematics.It is essential to go through your textbooks and mark the important points in theory, important formulas and their basic applications. Refer to your 12^th class and existing syllabus.

• Important topic’s notes– At last make notes of the important topics from each subject, however, every topic is important from the examination point of view. Although making a list of formulas of the topics that are don’t easily remembered by you will help you for the last-minute revision.

• Practicing weaker subject– Give more time on practicing the weaker subject and make proper notes, highlighting the important topics which need to be focused.

• Revision- Revision is the most important thing to do after covering the whole syllabus. If you do not revise what you have studied earlier then you will forget everything on the day of examination. It is important to revise each and every topic from the syllabus whether it is difficult or easy.
