VIT Vellore Reviews

College Infrastructure
College has all the necessary infrastructure. Labs are well equipped and air conditioned. Library has vast range of books. Whole campus has WiFi. Campus is generally clean and food is hygienic. There are various facilities like gym, playground, sports equipment etc. Both AC and non-ac rooms with 1/2/3/4/6 bed available.

Academics
All teachers have PhD. They know the content very well. But sometimes they are not able to explain it to students properly. Teachers clarify doubts whenever asked. Curriculum is good and updated. To be job ready, students need some extra practice beyond curriculum syllabus

Placements
Placements are good. Every year more than 5500 students register for on-campus placements and more than 700 companies visit. Average CTC is around 7 LPA and around 20 percent of students get CTC of more than 10 LPA. Placement process is smooth and college is helpful during it.

Value-for-money
VIT has different fee categories and it is assigned to student based on his performance in VITEEE. Is worth the money if you get get category 1 (2 lac per year) or category 2 (3 lac per year). Hostel and mess fees is separate and is based on number of bed in room and type of mess.

Campus Life
Campus has lot of clubs to join ranging from developers groups to non technical like drama/painting/animation clubs. Campus has a night closing time (9 pm) and if we enter late then there is penalty. exception is given for attending night events for club.\n If boy and girl get too close physically (hug) then there is punishment.\n Proctor is assigned to every student for whole 4 years who looks into well being of student.\n There is a railway track passing from mid of campus.
